A significant ruling by the NSW Supreme Court has determined Nine and News Corp would be held legally responsible for defamatory comments made on their social media pages.Representatives for former youth detainee Dylan Voller successfully argued the media outlets involved had the same responsibility for the content of their published articles (ruled not defamatory in this case) and subsequent comments on social media platforms (the source of defamation in this case).
