How long will it take to make a website?
Similar to above, it really depends on how big the project is and how much assistance you need in creating related elements such as branding, imagery and copy.
We’ve turned a 5-page website around within a week from start to finish.
We’ve also worked on complex web projects that involved complicated third-party integrations, custom designs and custom development. This took us a few months.
What 'technology' do you build a website on?
We predominantly design and build using the WordPress content management system (CMS). WordPress is Open Source and a quasi-standard. Some 35% of the world’s websites are built using WordPress.
Being so popular, there’s an enormous amount of effort from third parties who design plugins and other add-ons. This makes it a cost-effective way to build an “off the shelf” solution that doesn’t get bogged down in custom development.
That said, it’s also flexible enough to efficiently deploy custom solutions when required.
If you have a specific requirement, we work with many other CMS’s too. From Joomla, to Magento – and even Shopify, Squarespace and Wix.
Can you help me sell things online?

- Build a WordPress website.
- Configure the WooCommerce plugin to sell your wares.
- Connect to and use Stripe as your credit card payment gateway.
You might have some specific requirements. For example, you may want to use your existing banks merchant gateway. That’s fine, we can configure the website to use that.
You may have Xero, MYOB or another piece of software managing sales and stock levels. That’s fine too, we’ll work with you to integrate an eCommerce website with your existing systems.
Will my website be secure?
Very good question. Few people ask about this, so it’s refreshing to see your attention to this very important point.
Like any piece of technology, websites are vulnerable to being exploited and hacked if they are not kept patched and up to date. Our managed WordPress hosting services keep your “core” and popular third-party plugins updated to protect your website from becoming susceptible to attack.
Additionally, we employ a web application firewall (WAF) to actively inspect traffic from the Internet, to your website. This WAF is clever enough to detect and block any suspicious web traffic that is sniffing around your website. Think of it as a security guard patrolling your place of business, asking questions of anyone who seems to be acting questionably.
How much does a website cost?
Great question. We design and build websites for between $3,000 and $50,000. It really depends on how much work is involved.
May we ask some questions in return?
How many pages do you want or need on your website?
Do you have an idea of what pages will go where? Even if it’s just a sketch on the back of an envelope, this will help greatly.
Have you written the copy for every page on your website? Or do you need us to help you with crafting content?
Do you have some great, hi-res photos of your business and product that we can use? Or do you need some help in organising a photographer, or maybe just sourcing some great stock (but not ‘stocky’) photos?
Do you have branding assets (such as a logo) and branding guidelines for your business? If yes, great, we can use that as the basis for a website design. If not, we’ll need to do a bit extra design work to get it just right.
Apart from providing information to your customers, would you like your website to do anything? For example, would you like customers to be able to book, order something, or pay an Invoice?
