I was fortunate enough to be an invited guest of the InterContinental Double Bay this morning for their grand opening. Their new Hotel in Double Bay is Sydney’s only five star hotel outside of the CBD.
With the constraints of such a traditional building, the renovation has been done elegantly and tastefully all whilst keeping a respect for the history of the building. Following are some photos from inside the InterContinental Double Bay.
We were treated to a tour of the Grand Ball Room, the Main Dining Room, the Main Bar (remind me to come back later) and the amazing rooftop pool. This building is very well-known to locals and has been lovingly cared for throughout its rebrand.
Double Bay, part of the glorious eastern Sydney, is known for providing great settings for people watching, sipping a cocktail, a spot (or a little more) of shopping in the boutiques and some incredible views of Sydney Harbour.
This isn’t too bad of an option for a five star hotel!
This stunning hotel is only a hop, skip and a jump from the pepperit office in Potts Point. We’re thinking a long lunch might be on the cards some time soon? If any clients are wanting a chat, this may just be the place to have it!
